Bonnie McCarthy was great! She made changes to the service based on our idea's and theme. She drove out of her way to meet with us. We live in Nashua, but we were having the ceremony in Rindge, NH. She was very responsive to E-mails and on the phone. After the rehearsal I felt so much more calm about the wedding. Her confidence helped put my mind at ease. The ceremony was beautiful! The Unity Flower ceremony that she does is such a great idea for outdoor weddings! This saves the embarrassment of having the candle blow out if a breeze picks up.

My husband and I were legally married in Lebanon, the country of his birth and where the majority of his family lives. My family was unable to attend the overseas ceremony, so it was important that we find a way to also honor the significance of this milestone in our lives with my family and our friends who live here as well. As the details of our stateside celebration came together, we felt it would be meaningful to include my family and our friends in a civil ceremony that confirmed our commitment for one another.

We discovered Bonnie and her services through a recommendation and could not have been more pleased with her efforts to customize the ceremony to suit our needs and taste. In the relatively short time we were in contact with one another prior to the ceremony, she collected enough information to suggest a ceremony program that flowed naturally and beautifully from start to finish.

Bonnie recognized the value of our two families coming together through the symbolism of a flower ceremony. This was a meaningful component of our ceremony as it allowed us to acknowledge our two families who had never met and could not be present at the same ceremony to honor our commitment together. We also factored in a reading of a poem about love, read by a close friend of mine.

Finally, we had to opportunity to draft our own vows and read them aloud to one another in the presence of our friends and my family which was a special component as well.

Bonnie very thoughtfully collected the thoughts, insights and prayers recited at our ceremony into a keepsake book which is a treasure I hold close to my heart. Bonnie's services as an officiant at our family ceremony went above and beyond what I could have expected. She is a deeply spiritual person, without preaching the teachings of just one version of Christianity or any other faith, her background and training allows for a deep appreciation and insight into the core values of what brings couples together. Bonnie has the unique gift of bringing couples together in the presence of family and friends and uniting them in the warmest, most loving and beautiful way possible with the presence of her words, prayers and insights that come from her passion to serve in this capacity as well as her years of training and practice. I would recommend her services to anyone who is interested in having a ceremony from the heart.
